FICCI plays a proactive role in facilitating Industry and Cities partnerships. We have a very active Committee on Smart Cities which is headed by Mr Ajay Pandey, MD & Group CEO of GIFT City, Ahmedabad.  The Committee engages at three levels – Global, Central, at City level.

At Global level we leverage on our international partnerships to bring in the best of the global practices. At Centre and at State level, the committee engages with the government to create an enabling framework for the private sector participation in this flagship programme of Government of India. While doing that we have also been voicing the key concerns of the Industry and to work towards creating a more conducive environment for overall economic growth. At City level, FICCI has MoUs with 10 cities (Bhopal, Pune, Tirupati, Udaipur, Kota, Dehradun, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pasighat, Itanagar and Naya Raipur) and regularly engages with them and many others by supporting and facilitating impactful Industry interactions, workshops and roundtable discussions with experts.
